Why is the internet so obsessed with people selling mirrors

I’ve recently seen a few compilation listicles of people selling mirrors online, and it really made me consider why the internet is so obsessed with such mundane concepts.

Don’t get me wrong, I think photos of people selling mirrors are hilarious, but it’s a super simple concept.

My consideration led me to the realm of voyeurism. Yes, voyeurism. Not the sexual kind though, the type of voyeur I’m talking about is much more innocent.

As psychotic as it sounds, it’s more about enjoying the distress of others than the actual pictures themselves. We have a love-hate relationship with cringe inducing content but the laughs they provide are invaluable.
